Hospital Seeks Review of Malpractice Verdict

    Yesterday on the Supreme Court of Appeals' motion docket, Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital presented its petition for appeal from a verdict in an action alleging wrongful death due to medical malpractice.  In March 2006, the Wood County jury returned a verdict of $6.5 million, which was subsequently reduced to $4,834,380.00 to reflect an offset from a settlement with another party.   Bernard Boggs, Administrator v.     In addition to the jury verdict's in the underlying action that was before the Court yesterday, this is the case that also resulted in an award of sanctions against the hospital and its counsel for more than $1.3 million a few months ago.
